Section 1 - Citizens born or raised in the United States will automatically have access to free healthcare, and will not be disregarded based on their skin color, gender, race or religion. In case of any incident involving racial matters, the offender will automatically be withdrawn from that position as long as evidence is compiled and shown. People who may not be citizens but have been within the US for over 3 years will be eligible to apply, and the elderly will have access to free healthcare.
Section 2 - People who may be in possession or has unpaid medical fees will be withdrawn as they are no longer valid due to changes in policy,
Section 3 - In order for this to be in effect we need to consider the wages of medical workers and how we plan to replace it. Based on household income if they are less than a certain amount such as <$50,000 they will remain the same, but from >$50,000 taxes will have to be increased based on their income so the higher the income the more it will accumulate in taxes, which then that portion of money will be taken and used to cover expenses.
Reasons for amendment:
1) Prove economy
2) Assessable
3) Less Bankruptcy
4) Equality
- Healthcare should be free because it can possibly improve economy. If we were to do a universal health care system, health practitioners are required to provide the same level of care to every legal citizen. This can help impact the economy in a good way because everyone would get help.
2) Assessable
- Free healthcare can be more assessable for people because it will improve access to care for as much people as we can. Which they should care for everyone.
3) Less Bankruptcy
4) Equality
- According to the National Library of Medicine article it states that Universal healthcare will better facilitate and encourage sustainable, preventive health practices and be more advantageous for the long-term public health and economy of the United States.
Possible Opposing viewpoints:
“Who will pay for workers wages?” (Section 3)
“What impact would be made if we had free healthcare?
“Wouldn’t higher taxes result in the same problem as paying for healthcare?”
